Thank God it's Art Every Day Month

My blog had no posts for almost two years, so now was the time to get back on track.

I started altering a calendar from 2011, and I love working in this format/size. This spread was collaged with bits and pieces of paper and washitape and gessoed over. I think this will make a good background for further journaling.
Can't wait to get back to it...!

It's such a perfect day...

We have been visiting Strømøya, Hitra. A beautiful island. A quiet place.
Isak has been fishing, and I made a new friend! The weather was just like we wanted it to be, and the place was the perfect place for us today.
A taste of early summer, strawberrycake, hot coffee, smiles and sunshine!
Even though we didn't want to leave Strømøya, we enjoyed the boattrip back to Kvenvær.

These are the 10 postcards I made for the swap this time. They are not perfect, but I enjoyed making them. I already received 4 postcards. Will be posting pictures of them as well... Happy sunday! :D

Sunday and sunshine

I ordered some books from Amazon that I just love - I love all of them!
Most of them are about Art Journaling, but one is about Collage.
I would warmly recommend all of them. The Collage workbook by Randel Plowman, Journal It! by Jenny Doh, Creative wildfire by L.K. Ludwig, The Art Journal Workshop by Traci Bunkers and Journal Spilling by Diana Trout. Get any one of them -There is goodness inside. YUM!!

I've read only two of them yet, butI just want to go on reading the others RIGHT NOW. But I guess I should get my hands on some paint and play in my journal for an hour or two, and them get back to the reading.
